Knights Experience Team (kNEXT):

The Knights Experience Team is the kNEXT generation of HR and finance customer service! kNEXT uses a human-centered, proactive, and guided approach to support colleges and divisions. The team is made up of HR Specialists and Travel/Procurement Specialists who will provide information and support across campus, reduce administrative burden, and empower employees to learn and grow.

The Opportunity:

This is a unique opportunity that combines Human Resources, technical support, and supervisory leadership into a single role. We are seeking individuals who are analytical, resourceful, and passionate about solving problems while leading others and delivering exceptional services.

Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities


  • Lead onboarding, training efforts, and monitor workload for direct reports.

  • Monitor and evaluate performance through coaching and feedback.

  • Establish performance goals and objectives, monitor progress, uphold customer service standards, and resolve complex issues.

  • Review and approve employee timesheets and leave requests.


Workday Support


  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and updates of supervisory organizations within Workday.

  • Review and evaluate requests to rescind or correct HR transactions, determine the appropriate course of action, execute transactions, and coordinate with Central HR to ensure awareness of downstream impacts.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Period Activity Pay (PAP) processing, providing guidance and troubleshooting support to HR Business Center (HRBC) and Knights Experience Team (kNEXT) team members.


I-9 and E-Verify Compliance


  • Monitor I-9 compliance and E-Verify requirements, partnering with HR Business Center to address outstanding actions and ensure compliance.

  • Manage E-Verify Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC) cases by communicating required next steps to employees, monitoring deadlines, and ensuring timely resolution.


Data/Knowledge Management and Process Improvement


  • Review report output and communicate to appropriate areas on updates or action needed.

  • Create, review, and update job aids for area.

  • Collaborate with manager to identify process improvements to improve operational effectiveness.


Kelly Services (Out-of-State Employment)


  • Oversee employment administration for out-of-state employees hired through Kelly Services.

  • Act as liaison between hiring departments and Kelly Services to facilitate hiring activities and employment changes.


Public Records and Unemployment Hearings Coordination


  • Serve as primary point of contact for Office of General Counsel for HR-related public records and data requests.

  • Coordinate unemployment hearing with the unemployment vendor, supervisors and HRBC leadership.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience pursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience supporting Human Resources, Workday, and/or customer service-related activities.

  • One or more years of experience leading, supervising, or mentoring staff.

  • Demonstrated experience using Workday for Human Capital Management (HCM).

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and positively influence others.

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including unemployment claims, public records requirements, and employment eligibility verification.

  • Proven ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment; skilled in building effective working relationships with colleagues and cross-functional partners.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply logic and reasoning to evaluate issues and develop effective solutions.

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft; Excel, Outlook, and Teams.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $52,000-$57,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
