Description
Under the general direction of the Research Administration Manager and other Department leaders and in concert with other research administrative staff, bear primary responsibility for all phases of pre- and post-award administration for intra/extramurally funded research awards for Departmental Principal Investigators (PIs). The Research Administrator 2 is responsible for an assigned portfolio of extramural funds/contracts & grants for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The incumbent will serve as the research administrator for his/her assigned PIs assisting with both pre-award and post-award functions. Duties include but not limited to proposal submissions; grant/subaward/subcontract budget development; financial management and reporting; liaise with campus and funding agencies to provide information, budgets, and answer questions regarding proposals; act as department resource and liaison with OCGA to interpret policy, procedures, agency guidelines; and disseminate information and changes to department staff, faculty, and PIs. Typically works on complex proposals such as grants / contracts which require task budgets, option years, multiple investigators, and multiple sub awards. The individual will also provide financial management of gifts & endowment funds. In collaboration with the Manager, the incumbent will also collect data and generate quarterly research metrics reports. Salary Range: $36.99 - $56.35/hour Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience - Required High School Diploma - Required 3+ years of research administration experience - Preferred 3+ years of financial, clerical, or administrative experience - Required Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel - Required | |
