Job Description Pay Rate: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Follow safety lock out tag out procedures. Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all coop dump, paw system, Picking Room and 1st Processing Evisceration and chill equipment, including, but not limited to: repairing and troubleshooting overhead conveyor systems, Offal and Waste Water equipment, belts, chains and augers. Plumbing: air, water, hydraulic. Welding: arc, and heli-arc, use cutting torch. Work from blueprints and schematics. Generate work orders, store requisitions, and report deficiencies. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Must have five years of experience in poultry processing maintenance or related field or completed entry level maintenance school certificate and pass entry level maintenance test. Must be able to troubleshoot and make "on the spot" corrections to emergency situations. Must be able to weld, arc and heli-arc, and use cutting torch. Must have good written and oral English communication skills. Must be self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work from a ladder. Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekends. A mechanical test will be administered and utilized to determine the skill level.
