Analyst

Analyst – (job location is New York, NY; employer is Walleye Capital LLC) – Work closely with the Portfolio Manager on all aspects of the investment process including conducting research and analysis on investment ideas, building and maintaining detailed quantitative financial models, and presenting long and short investment ideas to the Portfolio Manager. Build and maintain detailed financial models for companies under coverage. Conduct in-depth industry and company-specific research to identify monetizable insights. Attend industry conferences and management meetings in order to monitor, aggregate, and synthesize critical industry news and developments pertaining to the team’s coverage. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: applying core valuation methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and Leveraged Buyout (LBO) structuring; advanced financial modeling capabilities including multi-segment operating projections, leveraged buyout architecture, and sensitivity/scenario frameworks used to develop differentiated investment theses; Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) process mechanics from both buy-side and sell-side perspectives, enabling assessment of deal likelihood, strategic rationale, and valuation implications for companies; assessing operational and competitive dynamics at the company level, including margin drivers, cyclical positioning, and end-market exposure across diversified businesses; synthesizing complex business narratives and financial data into concise investment research and written recommendations under compressed timelines; evaluating capital allocation decisions, balance sheet dynamics, and management incentive structures to assess downside risk and identify asymmetric investment opportunities; and performing rigorous due diligence across financial, operational, and commercial dimensions of companies, supporting high-conviction investment recommendations.
