Overview

We are seeking an Associate Acquisition Analyst to support the Navy at our Washington, DC office.PAE Maritime GEM (PEO Ships GEM) team has been tasked to provide broad support to NAVSEA in the areas related to Ship Project Planning and Financial Execution; GFE Acquisition, Delivery and Production Management; and Program and Configuration Management.

This is a hybrid role, working three days onsite in our DC office and two days remote each week.


What will you do?

  • Maintain the system(s) that was assigned upon joining the team. Responsible for thorough research to gain detailed knowledge using provided resources.
  • Support Participating Acquisition Resource Manager (PARM) Reviews, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) Production Reviews, and Shipping Readiness Reviews. Record notes (either for personal use or for the team, or as part of our formal, contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with the group that procures the equipment (PARMs) on a regular basis to maintain current Best Estimated Delivery Dates (BEDDs) for all assigned Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
  • Provide technical analysis in the preparation of Ship Project Directive (SPD) Part III based on changes to approved budgets, configuration baselines, shipbuilding profiles, shipbuilding contracts and ship production Generate and distribute SPD Part IIIs.
  • This support shall include identifying and analyzing cost, schedule, technical, quality, and integrated logistics support issues and risks, providing recommendations to resolve or mitigate the issues and risks, preparing meeting minutes and action items for each event.
  • Review and analyze PARM acquisition plans, planned contract award dates and required GFE delivery dates as specified in SPD Part III's and the Schedule A through E of applicable shipbuilding contracts.
  • Track the status of GFE procurements throughout the acquisition Develop Acquisition Milestone Charts based on the acquisition plans and the Ship Building Profile to track equipment and products.
  • Conduct analyses to determine GFE cost and schedule impacts associated with program or policy changes directed by higher authority.
  • Maintain the Government-owned integrated database (GEMIS) for GFE delivery, contract, certification, point of contact, and other information is accurate and continually up to date.
  • Identify issues with contract awards, deliveries, shipping documentation or receipt documentation to NAVSEA and provide recommended resolution.
  • Prepare, maintain and update shipbuilding contract schedules for DDG 51 class. Review and analyze all Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and other configuration control documentation for potential impact to schedules including nomenclature, quantities, delivery dates.
  • One face-to-face visit to the Navy Yard to provide customer support each week.

Do you have what it takes?

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook is required
  • The candidate must have sharp analytical, research, and writing skills as well as provide exceptional customer service
  • 0-2 year's experience with Navy Acquisition/GFE Management, preferred (Will train)
  • Must have an active DOD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Must be USA citizen

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $55,000 -$60,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
