Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and repair documentation.
  • Technical training, trade school certification, or maintenance-related education is preferred.


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting, conveyors, packaging equipment, automated systems, welding, or fabrication is a plus.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, climb, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, and moving machinery.
  • Ability to respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and steel-toe boots.


Job Duties

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
  • Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and other industrial machinery.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before failures occur.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to keep production running efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and repair documentation accurately.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
