Position Summary The Rotor Cell Assembler is responsible for the quality of product and workmanship and participation in activities designed to improve customer satisfaction, quality, and productivity. The duties encompass all aspects of the Rotor, Frahm, and other assembly processes, including finishing, blasting, mixing, metal processing, part marking, and product assembly. Performs mechanical and visual inspection operations. Determines conformance of products to specifications assembly, painting, coating, testing/tuning, and inspection. Assembles machined parts into a precision aircraft according to prescribed tests and specifications. Operator certification required. Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift. Responsibilities * Performs all assigned duties in accordance with Company procedures. * Maintains consistent and constant attention to detail in order to accomplish all work to Company and customer required standards of quality, workmanship, and production. * Utilizes work instructions, blueprints, drawings, and/or other schematics to assemble, disassemble, and replaces parts/components as required. * Measures parts to determine specified tolerance. Inspects parts and assemblies, utilizing various test equipment and tools, as required. * Utilizes various power equipment, such as hydraulic and drill presses, torque wrenches, drills, taps, reams, countersinks, functional gages, and spot faces for assembly purposes. * Positions and aligns parts. Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together. Laps and hones high tolerance features. Marks identifying information on parts. * Performs inspection functions including visual inspection, part testing, functional performance test of the assembled unit, and other associated duties of a certified operator, including final inspection of product. Maintains valid operator certification status. * Performs painting and various similar operations, including part marking and application of protective coatings. Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies. * Packages the final assembly for shipping or storage. * Ensures timely and proper completion of paperwork on all work assigned and performed as required by Company procedures. * Resolve production problems with other Rotor Cell assemblers, supervision, and other technical and planning resources. * Aggressively promotes an orderly, clean work environment. Moves material or parts as required. * Completes appropriate labor accounting, inventory, and stockroom control transactions correctly. * Completes other assigned duties as required.
