Vice President – (job location is New York, NY; employer is BNRE US Services LLC) – Lead the development of asset allocation and deployment plans for investment portfolios backing new insurance business and third-party reinsurance of annuities and pension-risk-transfer liabilities. Lead initiatives for new business income enhancement and capital optimization. Report on relevant metrics related to risk, liquidity, and capital. Work with the actuarial and finance teams to provide investment assumptions for actuarial modeling and business planning. Report on the overall performance of the investment portfolio to internal and external parties. Make recommendations to senior management regarding critical investment decisions to ensure that the business meets the required internal investment returns. Analyze insurance products and related investment portfolios to support asset allocation decisions of new insurance business and third-party reinsurance for annuity, pension risk transfer and related products. Build and maintain financial models used to project investment income, cash flow needs, capital requirements, expected returns, and portfolio risks for new insurance business and third-party reinsurance. Evaluate investment options and recommend portfolio allocations based on insurance portfolio needs, expected returns, risk profile, and capital usage. Work with actuarial, finance, accounting, quantitative, and investment teams to prepare assumptions, analysis, and materials used for pricing, valuation, portfolio review, and management approval. Requirements: Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with: building financial models to evaluate how insurance company assets should be invested; analyzing expected future insurance payments and recommending investment allocations that help meet those payments; preparing analysis for new insurance business, including expected investment income, required capital, projected returns, and key risks; evaluating how changes in economic drivers and insurance capital regulations may affect investment returns and new business profitability; reviewing and assessing fit of private investment opportunities for insurance portfolios based on expected returns, risk profile, capital usage, and portfolio needs; coordinating with actuarial, finance, accounting, and quantitative teams to align investment assumptions used in pricing, valuation, reporting, and management review; preparing written materials and presentations for senior management summarizing portfolio recommendations, assumptions, risks, expected returns, and sensitivity analysis; and managing the new business pricing and asset allocation process, including model review, timelines, and quality control.
