As an Oncology Enhanced Scheduler, you will play a vital role in helping patients navigate their cancer journey while supporting a highly specialized oncology care team. This position offers the opportunity to become an essential member of UVA Health's oncology access team, coordinating complex appointments across multiple specialties and treatment services. Working in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, you will help improve access to care, support treatment planning, and contribute directly to the experience of patients receiving life-changing oncology services. The Role The Oncology Enhanced Scheduler serves as a centralized scheduling expert supporting oncology patients across the continuum of care. This role requires strong organizational skills, advanced scheduling knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both patients and multidisciplinary clinical teams. This is a fully onsite position supporting oncology operations primarily at the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center, with potential support across other oncology locations within the UVA Health network. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday, with limited weekend and holiday coverage responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Experience: 2+ years demonstrated experience in J2235 Patient Access O2. License/Certification: Certified Health Care Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) by Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) required within 18 months of hire date. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive) and repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. The pay range for this role is $21.50 - $37.48 hourly.
