Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving, The Office of Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving fosters lifelong relationships between Georgia State University and its more than 285,000 alumni worldwide by strengthening affinity, deepening connections to the university, and creating meaningful opportunities for engagement, advocacy, volunteerism, and philanthropy. Building upon the legacy of the Georgia State Alumni Association, founded in 1929, the office serves alumni across the lifelong engagement continuum and supports alumni and supporters throughout the donor continuum, creating opportunities to stay connected, informed, involved, and invested in Georgia State's future. WHAT YOU WILL DO Job Summary The Development Associate serves as a key operational and administrative partner to the Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving and provides comprehensive support for departmental operations, project coordination, travel logistics, event management, constituent engagement, volunteer leadership initiatives, and annual giving activities. Working collaboratively across University Advancement, campus partners, alumni, donors, volunteers, and external stakeholders, the Development Associate helps ensure the successful execution of alumni engagement programs, fundraising initiatives, donor and alumni experiences, volunteer activities, and strategic departmental priorities. The incumbent must exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position serves as a central operational resource for the Office of Alumni Engagement & Annual Giving and provides flexible support across departmental functions, including executive administration, project coordination, event execution, travel management, volunteer engagement, constituent services, and special initiatives.
