Travel Therapist Opportunity

Assignment Details - Inpatient Social Worker/Therapist

  • Specialty: Behavioral Health
  • Location: Ocala, FL
  • Duration: 13 weeks with potential to renew
  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5x8 schedule
  • Shift: Day shift, weekend rotation required
  • Enhanced hourly rate & tax-exempt stipend where applicable
  • Bi-weekly pay
  • Paid travel to/from assignment

Travel Therapist Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct therapeutic groups for patients.
  • Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family.

  • Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries.
  • Act as the patients' and families' primary contact during the patient's stay as well as their advocate with the treatment team.
  • Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.

  • Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients' functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients' treatment team.
  • Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

Travel Therapist Job Requirements:

  • Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or psychology
  • Licensure/Certifications: licensed in the state of Florida (ex. LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required
  • Experience: at least one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills, adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired
