Role Description:
Responsible for leading and managing the daily activities and designated staff of a branch office.
Fosters a cohesive team environment where all staff members are included in work, decisions, and cross training opportunities.
Develops good member relationships, identifies and pursues new business affiliate opportunities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Treats all members and staff in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Ensures staff is extending quality service to the membership as well as all internal contacts.
  • Schedules staff and organizes workflow to provide the most effective extension of quality service to the members. Supports branch office operations as needed.
  • Develops Strategic Plan to support branch retail delivery team goals.
  • Maintains security systems and enforces security procedures within the branch.
  • Handles unusual member problems or requests. Knows and understands the policies of the organization and effectively communicates the company position to members and/or staff.
  • Ensures that branch work is completely balanced at the end of the day. Interfaces with appropriate departments to resolve any posting, balancing, or research problems. Accurately completes and reviews branch audits (Key, Vault, Access, etc.) on a monthly basis.
  • Provides feedback to VP of Member Experience on branch activities, areas of concern, operational efficiencies, and recommendations.
  • Coaches and develops employees and monitors performance on an on-going basis to ensure employees perform all branch operation duties within established time frames. Conducts performance reviews and performs regular one-on-one meetings with the branch staff.
  • Conducts weekly staff meetings and encourages cross-selling, product knowledge, and team development.
  • Identifies and pursues new business affiliate opportunities for the Retail Delivery team within assigned branch market. Ensures the Retail Delivery team maintains relationships with existing business affiliates. Responsible for motivating the team to participate in community involvement activities.
  • Responsible for developing relationships within the community and for participating in community activities as directed.
  • Administers employee leave requests and submits completed and accurate time sheets to Human Resources. Maintains confidentiality in Human Resource related matters.
  • Performs second interviews and follows all equal employment opportunity regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or special projects/assignments as directed by management.
Performance Measurements:
  1. To maintain and develop a qualified staff sufficient to meet the needs of members.
  2. To maintain/improve the financial stability of the branch.
  3. To meet the branch growth plan.
  4. To keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the branch.
  5. Follows and enforces all established security procedures.
  6. Remains cognizant of and adheres to Mid-Atlantic Federal Credit Union's policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education
  1. A two-year college degree,
  2. or completion of a specialized certification or licensing,
  3. or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors,
  4. or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills
PC proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Strong knowledge and understanding of XP and Corelations Systems preferred.
