Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for a Tool Crib Attendant to support our operation in Corpus Christi, TX.

The Tool Crib Attendant assists in managing the inventory of supplies, materials, equipment and other items required to support the work performed in the field. The Tool Crib Attendant will also maintain the organization and the hygiene of the Tool Crib.

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: We are currently seeking candidates who are based in or near Corpus Christi, TX. While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to local candidates due to the on-site requirements of the positions.



Responsibilities

KEY TASKS & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure the availability and readiness of equipment and supplies by:

    Ensuring all tools, equipment and/or gear are maintained and in good working condition, and calibrated in accordance with documented procedures and standards

  • Maintaining appropriate inventory control processes to effectively manage inventory levels as materials, equipment and stock are issued, and ensure continued availability of high demand items

  • Maintaining stock rotation, disposing of and accounting for outdated stock

  • Maintaining an equipment database including such information as equipment datasheets and maintenance history

Supporting the purchase and receipt of goods and services by:

  • Preparing order requisitions to replenish materials, equipment and stock, and obtaining proper approvals prior to purchase of goods and services

  • Communicating with suppliers to process order, confirm availability of supplies, resolve any shortages, missed deliveries and other problems

  • Reconciling physical inventories with counts

  • Receiving materials, supplies, and equipment, and verifying packing slips against purchase orders and ensure accuracy and integrity of billing

  • Maintaining the shop and training area in a safe, clean and well-organized manner

Support the provision of timely and effective operational support by:

  • Responding to verbal and electronic service and equipment repair
  • Managing and scheduling the flow of equipment/gear and supplies to and from project sites

  • Receiving equipment/gear, conducting inspections and ensuring scheduled maintenance needs are met (recertification and repairs)

  • Reporting advanced equipment repair to management

  • Implementation and execution of all fleet support needs including maintaining accurate fleet/driver records

  • Scheduling maintenance and repairs

  • Assigning vehicles and tracking vehicle utilization and costs

  • Minor light duty mechanical work



Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

The position requires understanding and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Acuren'srange of technical services and variety of service lines providedtoappropriately coordinate and deploy equipment and supplies

  • Knowledge of equipment needed to perform various integrated industrial services, specific tests and/or inspections

The position requires the following skills and abilities:

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage a broad range of internal and external contacts

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking capability, problem solving and time management skills

  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job

  • Consistently demonstrates an understanding of, and compliance with, responsibilities under the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, andAcurenSafety and Quality Management Systems, policies and procedures

  • Operationally driven, detail oriented, organized, and have strong problem-solving skills.

  • Computer literacy is an absolute must

  • Ability to observe, analyze and learn is a must

  • No major experience necessary

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma, GED or higher education

  • Prior Welding or NDE Experience is a plus

  • 1-3 years related work experience

  • Knowledge of DOT policies and procedures

  • Comfortable using a computer and software applications (MS Word, Excel, QuickBase, etc.)

  • Operationally driven, detail oriented and organized with strong problem solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).

LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role requires a 12-16-month commitment prior to expanding into other departments or specialty teams.

  • Occasional Travel may be involved.

Working Conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Outside environment with continuous physical effort, exposure to 5-7 elements/conditions, moderate mental effort, and occasional requests for assistance.
  • Work is performed in environments that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold, loud noise, and moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other vehicles. Employees may be exposed to dust, odors, or fumes, and work areas may have limited ventilation at times. Work requires regular standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

    Employees must be adaptable to changing schedules and occasional overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational demands.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS:

  • Physical demands may include lifting and carrying equipment up to 25 kg
