Miller Mechanical Specialties - Valve Technician & Warehouse Clerk

Miller Mechanical Specialties Inc., a manufacturer's representative partner company of Endress+Hauser Inc., currently recruiting a person as a Valve Technician and Warehouse Clerk. The job is either full-time 8 AM to 5 PM or part-time 11 AM to 4 PM at least 4 days per week (20-25 hours per week total). Tasks will include valve assembly and service, warehouse organization, inventory management and control, and shipping and receiving. This person will not manage other employees, and is solely responsible.This is a great opportunity to learn about industrial process automation. This role will receive training in valve assembly and service.This job is ideal for someone who is: dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous, adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction, detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture, and autonomous/Independent -- enjoys working with little direction. This position does not require you to work nights or weekends.

Role + Responsibilities

Duties to include but not limited to:

• Assembly and testing of control valves
• Trouble-shooting issues with new and used control valves
• Calibrating valves
• Shipping and receiving
• Inventory management and control
• Calibrating and configuring electronic instrumentation
• Organization and cleaning of warehouse
• Maintaining warehouse tools and equipment
• Ensuring adherence to MMS' quality management system
• Travel to select meetings for sales and support including, but not limited to customer sites and product training meetings.
• Travel to customer plant locations for startup and service work.
• Facility Maintenance

Qualification + Profile

• Mechanical and electronic maintenance experience
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to lift equipment weighing 25 to 100 pounds, on a daily basis
• Experience working on valves preferred.
• Completion of Industrial Technology, or other 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and work ethic.
• Customer service experience is helpful.
