We are seeking a highly skilled Division Accounting Manager to oversee general accounting, financial reporting, inventory reporting, and internal control activities. You will ensure accuracy, profitability, and continuous improvement by providing technical GAAP guidance and maintaining a strong internal control structure. This role involves developing and implementing new processes to enhance efficiency and resolve issues effectively.

Scope/Supervision and Interactions: X Has Direct Reports __ Does Not Have Direct Reports

Under the Division Controller's direction, you will supervise accounting activities to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and GAAP. You will develop your team's skills, fostering enthusiasm for new and challenging goals, and promote positive change within the division.

Essential Functions:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and data control reviews. Ensure inventory is properly costed and analyzed. Set annual standard costs and departmental budgets. Ensure all cost and other accounting systems meet corporate guidelines.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the division management team to participate in planning and policymaking, contributing financial insights and strategic recommendations through budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain key controls in line with internal policies and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Production Environment: Conduct financial and cost analyses to drive improvement in the production environment.
  • Maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction, and people productivity.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Handle other tasks as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7-10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting is a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with other Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong influencing, communication, and business partnering skills at all organizational levels.
  • A mindset focused on achieving first-time-right outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt and lead through continuous change.
  • Resilient under pressure and driven to meet deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and an inquisitive mindset.
