Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a skilled, self-driven individual to join the Daytona Beach Business & Budget Services Department as a Financial Analyst. This person will serve as the primary financial support to two colleges at the Daytona Beach Campus.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with the college Deans on all financial matters relating to the college
  • Works with the Chief Business Officer and the Daytona Beach Business/Budget Services department in forecasting and analyzing college budgets. Provides a monthly update of financial activity and re-forecasting annual performance
  • Coordinate with the Dean and Department Chairs on capital planning and managing the current year capital budget
  • Coordinate with the Dean, Department Chairs and administrative support on the operational budget
  • Coordinating with Philanthropy, managing the donor sponsored accounts for the college
  • Assist the Dean in financial planning on all curriculum changes and degree program proposals
  • Serve as a primary point of contact with department chairs and HR on all faculty and staff hiring
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Office of Sponsored Research and the Budget Office as needed to quickly solve problems
  • Advise on policy and procedures - consult with Financial Analyst and/or Chief Business Officer for resolution
  • Support university and college initiatives and/or special projects as requested; and
  • Serving as a backup for other business processes and acting as delegate or proxy as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 3-5 years, higher education experience preferred

  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines

  • Works well with and supports other people in the accomplishment of business goals
