JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Office of the Dean in the College of Education is seeking Penn State students to fill highly visible part-time positions. The primary focus of these roles will be to facilitate the day-to-day customer support functions of the office. Duties will include: greeting visitors in person and on telephone, and directing as appropriate; receiving, opening, sorting, and logging mail; assisting with package shipping and delivery; maintaining supply inventory; coordinating shredding needs; coordinating conference room reservations; may also include making basic informational updates to several pages of the College website; assisting with drafting memos; and other duties as assigned. Ideal candidates will be outgoing individuals who display high levels of professionalism and exhibit outstanding interpersonal skills. These roles also require the ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. The successful candidates will display a strong commitment to inclusionary practices which support diversity throughout the University and must be able to work efficiently in both independent and collaborative situations. Commitment to a high level of customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population are highly valued. Work schedules will be based on candidate availability.
