Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The mission of Information Technology Services is to explore, implement, maintain, and support the use of technology to achieve the University's academic and administrative objectives effectively and efficiently, as stated in the University's strategic plan.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The position provides support for the university's Academic ERP system and related third-party applications. The employee may be responsible for overseeing programs or projects. This function requires a broad understanding of a variety of technologies to support customers effectively. It also requires particularly strong communication skills, an ability to interact effectively with a wide range of customers, and an ability to use a variety of technical resources to provide this support.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements:
Master's degree and 2-4 years experience; or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related area and 3-5 years experience in the information technology field related to the position's role.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
Working technical knowledge of:
Ellucian Banner
Databases - (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL)
Programming languages - (e.g., SQL, Java)
Reporting Tools - (e.g., Argos, ePrint)
Document Capture - (e.g., Xtender, Hyland, NOLIJ, eTranscript)
Scheduling - (e.g., Cron, UC4)
Firsthand experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
Experience in the operation and analysis of software and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies.
Knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices.
Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources.
The ability to recognize and resolve system and software-related problems.
Work independently and make necessary decisions within department guidelines.
Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively.
Communicate technical and complex information both orally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of equivalent work experience in a position overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software, systems, or products.
