Engineering Intern - OEM

Ziegler CAT is hiring an Engineering Intern to help support our Sales Application Engineers in the Power Systems Division providing OEMs with Caterpillar Industrial Engines.

Responsibilities:

  • Main focus will include reviewing, editing, and working with Inside OEM Sales Engineers to update current build instructions
  • Demonstrate the application of basic Engineering tools/ principles and evidence of creative thinking
  • Investigates product problems, understands basic diesel engine operation, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results with guidance from more experienced team members.
  • Obtains input from internal stakeholders such as warehouse employees, technicians, technical communicators, project leaders, and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to improved process decisions.
  • Provides independent execution of established work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge; engages with the improvement of systems and processes.
  • Perform typically as an individual contributor within or in support of a team. - Plans, organizes, and leads small project teams
  • Contributes effectively toward team goals, exhibits influence within a work group and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering college student in between semesters
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Preferred.
  • Computer Skills; Proficient in standard Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing

The pay range for this position is

$17.13 to $20.54

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
