The Opportunity with McKinstry: We are adding a Building Energy Engineer to our growing Technical Services division in Seattle, WA. McKinstry supports clients and their facilities throughout the life of a building; the Technical Service team specifically focuses on the optimization and energy efficiency of existing buildings with a uniquely technical consultative approach. We work directly with owners and building operators to help them make effective decisions that improve the efficiency, occupant comfort, and lifespan of their buildings. In this role, you will conduct technical audits and develop energy models, as well as apply energy use data from facilities information systems to drive operational efficiency as part of our Active Energy Management consulting services. These activities help our clients comply with Washington State's Clean Building Performance Standard, and the City of Seattle's Building Tune-Up and Building Emissions Performance Standard programs. You will leverage your experience in problem solving, systems analysis, data analysis and communication to drive sustainability and efficiency for education, healthcare, and other large impact facilities. Communication and collaboration are a huge part of this role, as you will be supporting a variety of projects and interface with a wide array of stakeholders. Your role will be an integral part of a team using data acquisition and analysis to develop technical recommendations and present them to clients. The pay range for this position is $69,300 - $109,400 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
