Job Title: Electrical Control Engineer

Job Summary:

Plan, maintain and implement PLC programs in the rebar mill and fabrication to improve safety, quality and uptime. Responsible for electrical improvements in both areas and assistance in troubleshooting downtime issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex or unusual problems independently and identify when additional resources are required.
  • Focus on safety, quality and operational efficiency
  • Maintain PLC programs and look for opportunities to improve.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems
  • Create manufacturing documentation including electrical schematics
  • Assist and maintain IT systems
  • Excellent communication ability
  • OT may be required, some weekends as needed
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to read measuring devices, drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
  • Ability to relate with and work with teammates, customers, and vendors
  • Plans and implements process improvements to drive more uptime.



Qualifications and Experience

  • BSEE with 2-5 years of experience or BSME with 5-10 years relative experience.
  • Experience in implementing communication protocols in PLC systems
  • Understand industrial machinery specification and standards
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks/projects
  • PLC programming experience and troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting, Judgement/Decision making, must be able to adapt to schedule changes (for repairs)
