GENERAL SUMMARY

The Redmond Cost Accountant is the lead financial partner supporting the local management team. Key success factors include collaborating with the management team on costs and operational metrics and working directly with the DeZURIK Corporate Controller ensuring the accuracy of the financial records by managing account entries, documents, payments, and other transactions directly related to DeZURIK's Redmond location.

This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Summarize and analyze current status of financial documents such as balance sheet, income statement, cashflow statement, and other reports utilizing company business system for presentation to and discussion with management.
  • Analyze financial data and partner with the leadership team to optimize the financial results of the business.
  • Actively participate in and support the Traction process for the Redmond team.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing information. Verify, allocate, and post transactions by entering account information within the company business system.
  • Complete monthly financial accounting entries and related activities in support of month-end close as needed by the Corporate Controller and Finance Team.
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Oversee the accounts payable process and monitor Redmond disbursements.
  • Oversee receivable and collection activities, including initiating collections and identifying potential risk of non-payment accounts.
  • Monitor, document, and submit all periodic financial documents required by creditors, grants, government agencies, or other related entities.
  • Participate in forecast process, preparing financial statements and producing budget in accordance with schedule.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant professional experience; previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Capability with Microsoft Office tools; experience with manufacturing systems or NetSuite ERP is preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Must be able to support after hours business needs as they arise.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds independently.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Stress may result from workload and meeting schedules. Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
