Position Summary: The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a full-time tenure track position in environmental engineering at the Assistant Professor level to start in August 2025. We are excited to find a new faculty member to join our group of dedicated educators to teach undergraduate engineering at our public institution. We seek candidates who will collaborate with us to continually improve our pedagogy and curriculum to develop more diverse citizen engineers who will create the sustainable and equitable infrastructure of the future. This is a full time, benefit-eligible position with a 9-month academic appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University of Wisconsin System has a nationally top ranked retirement plan and a comprehensive benefits package. Environmental Engineering at UW-Platteville: The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department currently has 480 students, with 70 of them majoring in environmental engineering. The Department has 15 faculty and staff, three of them with a focus on environmental engineering. Our students are actively engaged in high-impact practices including undergraduate research, internships, community service, and student organizations. The Department hosts 8 student organizations, including the Platteville Society of Environmental Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and Engineers Without Borders. The Department is a collegial, collaborative, and supportive learning environment for students and staff. College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science: The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department is in the College of Engineering, Mathematics, and Science (EMS). The College of EMS serves more than 2,500 undergraduate students and 70 graduate students.
