Job Summary
Elmhurst University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach undergraduate geography courses. We are specifically seeking applicants to teach "Regional Study of the Industrial World" in the spring and/or fall 2025 semesters.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until suitable candidates are identified.
Essential Functions

  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
  • Responsibilities for this adjunct faculty position include course preparation, teaching, grading and being available to students who have questions or require extra help.

Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Geography
  • A keen interest in engaging students and fostering their learning

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
