JOB TITLE: Machine Cleaner (12 HR)

BUSINESS UNIT: Sanitation

FUNCTION: Cleans manufacturing equipment, production tools, floors.

REPORTS TO: Chris Scott

HOURS: 5:30 P.M. to 5:30 A.M. (12 Hour Shifts)
Normal work schedule for this position is on rotating weeks, as follows:

Hours are 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM. Working on some Holidays will be required as

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Machine Cleaner is responsible for handling detergents to clean and sanitizing the process equipment to establish a clean environment for producing and packaging quality products. Ensures equipment and facility are effectively sanitized in accordance with established food manufacturing regulations and in compliance with government sanitation requirements. Performs plant cleaning as prescribed by the Master Sanitation Schedule. Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of plant. Utilizes powered cleaning equipment that may include powered lifts, scissors lifts, power washers, foam applicators, steamers, automatic compactors, motors and various non-mechanized equipment. The ability to work at heights up to 40 feet above the floor, operating lift / boom. The ability to work in subzero temperatures (PPE provided). The ability to work in confined spaces. Works independently, in a high efficiency level and learns and performs proper Allergen Elimination Procedures.

PRIMARY Employees are expected to work on the sanitation area team of appointment. Employees will be trained how to clean and sanitize the production equipment are area that they have been assigned to. Assignment is dependent on relative crewing needs across the facility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
