Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Assistant/Payroll professional to support our Human Resources department. This role is responsible for maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and assisting with a variety of HR-related tasks and projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on HR and payroll experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly plant payroll, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Handle all employment paperwork for new hires, terminations, and updates for current employees.
  • Maintain and update personnel records, including employee data such as addresses, earnings, absences, performance notes, and termination details.
  • Compile and file employment reports and respond to authorized requests for employee information.
  • Support administration of benefits and compliance with labor regulations.
  • Assist with various HR tasks and projects as assigned.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and payroll.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all personnel and company information.
  • Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) support when needed.



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources or Payroll role.
  • Prior payroll processing experience is required.
  • General office and administrative experience necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Must be a quick learner and able to multitask effectively.
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
