What You Can Expect

As a Senior PV Technician, you will support solar projects and clients throughout the Northeastern United States. Our regional portfolio includes both ground-mounted arrays and commercial rooftop systems-we do not service residential installations.

This role is field-based, with approximately 50% local travel (within 3 hours of your home) and 50% overnight travel to other East Coast sites. You'll be the face of ENGIE at client locations, prioritizing safety and delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on solar PV systems
  • Cleaning and testing panels, servicing inverters, and updating networking/SCADA hardware and software
  • Reviewing annual PM service reports to identify and plan corrective actions
  • Communicating effectively with clients regarding maintenance schedules and repair recommendations
  • Maintaining detailed records of service calls, including parts, tools, mileage, and timekeeping



What You'll Bring



  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • At least 5 years of experience in solar PV maintenance, including:

    • Central & string inverters
    • AC/DC testing
    • IV curve tracing & PV analysis
    • Ground fault troubleshooting
    • Preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs)
    • Experience with battery storage systems is a plus
    • Strong customer service and communication skills


  • Familiarity with IT and SCADA systems is beneficial



Compensation

Hourly Range: $41.39-$68.99 USD hourly.

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
