Overview

Follow your passion all the way to paradise at TradeWinds Resort, a Tampa Bay Times Top Workplace for seven years in a row! TradeWinds features two destination resorts just 200 flip flops from one another along the gorgeous Gulf Coast on St. Pete Beach.

TradeWinds Resort is seeking an experienced and service-driven Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of all retail outlets including but not limited to RumFish Retail Shop and Outfitters Shop. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and driving team performance across the retail environment. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced resort setting and works as the retail buyer and operations manager to meet business goals.



Responsibilities

    Implement promotions and sales strategies to increase revenue and average transaction value.
  • Take ownership of results and adapt strategies to meet changing business needs.
  • Analyze guest demographics, buying behavior, and seasonal trends to inform product mix, pricing strategies, and store layouts.
  • Understand business needs and industry trends for profitable operation.
  • Drive retail sales by setting and achieving sales goals and key performance indicators.
  • Organize and manage facility, inventory, and staff of all retail operations.
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are met and consistently maintained.
  • Ensure shop is prepared for proper opening and closing each day.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, manage and mentor retail staff.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special offers and events.
  • Build guest rapport and establish possible sales opportunities.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Greet and welcome all guests.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other team members and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary
  • Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes (flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays)
